Autoinoculation
Autoinoculation
Autoinoculation is the innovative procedure offered by shubham skin clinic at Pune sinhagad road for recurrent wart infection and does not respond to routine treatment for wart infection.
Autoinoculation is derived from the Latin words “autos” and “inoculate” that mean “self implanting” or “self infection” or “implanting something from oneself”. Autoinoculation is just like vaccination. it is the procedure in which a piece of infected tissue (usually infected by virus by virus ) is inserted subcutaneously to achieve the immunity against a particular organism ( virus) in future. With this treatment patient develops the immunity against particular virus and so there are very least chances of getting recurrent wart infection.
It is very simple procedure in which a very small piece of skin tissue (wart) is cut and inserted deep in skin of thigh by taking very small incision under local anesthesia. Then it is closed by cosmetic stitch to avoid the scar. Results may take 2 – 3 months.
It is specially done in patients who are suffering from recurrent wart infection and not responding to routine treatments like electro/radio surgery and fractional co2 laser.
It is totally safe and painless procedure. It is done under local anesthesia. There are absolutely no side effects.
This procedure usually takes 15 – 20 minutes. One treatment is sufficient but sometimes one more session may require after 3 months.
• No mark or scar remains after treatment.
